Nate's first (real) Christmas!!

This Christmas was SOOOO much fun now that Nate is old enough to open presents and play with them! He was so cute! Oddly enough I didn't get many pictures of him, just video. Here is the video of him first "seeing" his trike. We tried to get one of his first reaction to it, but since we woke him up he was a little bit cranky cause he was still tired and hungry so he just ran to Granny first thing. That was actually pretty cute too :D. Sorry if the video is dark. Our camera really sucks....that is one thing on our need to buy list is a better camera!

He loves his tricycle! His legs are just a titch short, but I don't think it will be long till he really figures it out. It says it's for 1 1/2-3 years and he just turned 18 months! :D Thanks Grandpa for my new bike!!!

And here is a picture Christmas exploding onto my living room floor! :D
Granny also got him some freaking amazing blocks that have the entire alphabet in caps and lower case, pictures of different animals and objects, shapes, colors, and numbers on them! He LOVES them! :D And so do I!

I'm so excited for Christmas!!!!

Ok, so to understand why I am so excited, you must understand that the last two years of our marriage, we have not had a real Christmas morning! Allow me to explain:

Christmas #1-2007
This year we were living in St. George and I got Christmas and Christmas Eve off from work, but Phil still had to work Christmas Eve night (he was working nights at a youth crisis center). So we went up to my parents for Christmas Eve (since it's my mom's birthday it's a big deal), but had to leave early so that Phil could get to work. That already made me emotional and I cred really hard when we had to leave (did I mention I was pregnant? Well I was). Then there was a terrible snow storm that caused the regular 4 hour drive to be an 8 hour drive. That was awful!
The next morning when Phil got home from work, it was already light outside (who opens presents when it's light?) I had been sick from morning sickness so my house was a mess (not exactly what you want on Christmas we had been gone) and we only bought a few presents for each other and it wasn't that exciting. BORING!!

Christmas #2-2008
This year we decided we were going to take a road trip across the country to New Jersey to visit the family. We decided that Nate was too young to care about opening presents anyway (I did get him one present though). Also, that Christmas morning I had to go to work for 12 freaking hours. That really sucked. BORING AGAIN!!!! (although the road trip was fun!)

Christmas #3-2009 (this year)
This year is going to be awesome! I didn't have to use one penny of our own money for Christmas presents because Phil's family is extremely generous which COMPLETELY takes the stress off of me! And the best part is that we were able to get everything we wanted and needed! My mother-in-law is coming up to stay and watch us open presents on Christmas morning and I'm going to cook a Christmas dinner for us (any ideas for some good recipe's let me know). And we'll probably watch some Christmas movies and have an awesome time! I'm so excited! I'm so happy to get Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off and Phil will have Christmas Day off too (not Eve though :( ) I'm seriously so excited! I can't wait to have Nate open his presents (and Phil too!)

Christmas Card

I changed it. I just didn't like how dark it was and I feel like this one makes the pictures stand out better. And the one below is too low of a resolution to print. So here is my new one! I like it a lot better! :D
